Guantanamo: 'Honor Bound to Defend Freedom'


Tight, tense and boldly current, Guantanamo tells the gripping true stories
of four British residents imprisoned at Guantanamo and paints an unforgettable
portrait of America's controversial prison. Guantanamo tackles one of the most
significant and troubling issues of our time--Λ™the U.S. government's arrest and
imprisonment of terrorist suspects without due process. Actor Harsh Nayyar,
who played Mr. Begg, father of Guantanamo inmate Moazzam Begg, in the New York
production, returns to the role at The Studio Theatre. "Guantanamo: Honor
Bound To Defend Freedom" runs November 2 --December 11, 2005, at The Studio

Originally commissioned and produced by the Tricycle Theatre, London.
Underwritten by Marvin Weissberg, with additional support from Kay Ellen
Consolver.

By Metro:
From the Dupont Circle Stop: Walk 5 blocks east on P Street. The Studio is on
the northeast corner of 14th and P.
From the U Street/Cardozo Stop: Walk 6 blocks south on 13th Street. Make a
right and walk 1 block west on P Street. The Studio is on the northeast corner
of 14th and P.
From the McPherson Square Stop: Walk 7 blocks north on 14th Street. The
Studio is on the northeast corner of 14th and P.

Comments:
Do you know how future Pay What You Can performances at Studio are scheduled? I can't never find out until its too late...
 
Studio Theater PWYC performances are usually the first Saturday matinee of the show.
I'll post more about Studio up top of the blog. Thanks for asking--I only found out by calling the box office! I'm a subscriber but get few communications (postcards, e-mails) from them. Still, the play's the thing and they've done some wonderful shows (Fat Pig) this season.
